In this series, we've been looking at the three gifts that the Wise Men or Magi brought to Jesus. In week one we looked at the gift of Frankincense and we talked about Jesus, the High Priest, who would represent the people before God.

This weekend is our Christmas Celebration and we will be looking at the gift of Gold, which represents Jesus as the King of Kings and the Lord of all Lords. It's going to be a powerful weekend. Get your heart ready as we move into the Christmas week.

Last weekend we start our series on the significance of the gifts of the Wise Men, by talking about the gift of Frankincense. This weekend we are talking about the gift of Myrrh.

Be prepared for a lot of Christmas spirit! The building and stage is decorated. The coffee bar has peppermint for peppermint moccha's. I've seen the Coast Band's setlist and the worship is going to be powerful. And I will promise you, you will be thinking about this Sunday's message throughout the Christmas season.

Who gives a child Incense for a gift? A toy truck, maybe. A Baby Yoda, possibly. But incense? Isn't it amazing that after all the years of hearing the story of the wisemen bringing frankincense, myrrh, and gold, most of us still don't know why they did it?
