Hebrews 11 tells us that faith is in stuff we hope for and things we don't see. Do you ever wonder if having faith is worth it? Praying to an invisible God? Trusting an unseen Jesus? Organising your life around things you just hope turn out to be true? Hebrews 11 reminds us that we’re not the first people to live by faith in things hoped for, it gives us a whole list of folks who’ve been there, done that to inspire us and reminds us to fix our eyes on Jesus, the hero of faith to keep us going.

When you're tempted to quit, or starting to drift away from Jesus, or feeling like it's all too hard or not worth it - 1. Remember what Jesus has done for you and won for you (He's made access to God possible - so we can draw near to God confidently!). 2. Don't forget the ultimate realities of heaven and hell. 3. Gather regularly with other Christians for mutual encouragement.
