How does God call wives & husbands to treat one another?

God calls us to count the cost of the precious blood of Jesus and focus on

the task He has given us. To do this we are to be people of the Word and

people that love and invest in the Church.

In a world out of control, superstitions are attractive because they give the illusion of control. But in Judges 16 Samson gives superstitions a road test and in contrast to God’s sovereign ability to deliver His people, they stink. Only God can provide everlasting security and salvation and He offers it to everyone through Jesus.

Samson is best known for his super-human strength, but it was his weakness that God used to get the job done. God can weave sin and evil into his good purposes, and he can still use weak and sinful people to serve his purposes today.

The world is often unfair. Why doesn't God do something about it? He has, He is, and He will.

By the time we get to Judges 8 the agendas of God’s people are all a self-centred mess. But that mess helps us to identify where our agendas have got off track and how we might live each day on board with God’s agenda to glorify himself. Let’s check it out!
