Jesus Calms the Storm

When we are afraid:

and walk.’”

12 They asked him, “Who is the man who said to you, ‘Take up your bed and walk’?”

13 Now the man who had been healed did not know who it was, for Jesus had withdrawn, as

there was a crowd in the place.

14 Afterward Jesus found him in the temple and said to him, “See, you are well! Sin no more,

that nothing worse may happen to you.”

15 The man went away and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had healed him.

I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.” 

     2. Consider the RESURRECTION of Jesus. 

Acts 3:15 “You killed the author of life, but God raised him from the dead. We are witnesses of this.” 

     3. Consider the MESSAGE of Jesus.

Romans 3:22 NLT We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are.

Our greatest success in life may not be WHAT we do, but WHO we raise.

4. Lay the FOUNDATION.

Luke 6:48 They are like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built. 

Song Of Solomon 5:2-3 I slept, but my heart was awake, when I heard my lover knocking and calling: “Open to me, my treasure, my darling, my dove, my perfect one. My head is drenched with dew, my hair with the dampness of the night.” But I responded, “I have taken off my robe. Should I get dressed again? I have washed my feet. Should I get them soiled?”

1.    Don’t attack the PERSON, attack the PROBLEM.

2.    Acknowledge the HURT.

Song Of Solomon 5:5-6 I jumped up to open the door for my love, and my hands dripped with perfume. My fingers dripped with lovely myrrh as I pulled back the bolt. I opened to my lover, but he was gone! My heart sank. I searched for him but could not find him anywhere. I called to him, but there was no reply.

If you don’t learn to TRANSFORM your pain, you will just TRANSFER it.

3.    Seek wise COUNSEL.

Song Of Solomon 5:9-10 Why is your lover better than all others, O woman of rare beauty? What makes your lover so special that we must promise this? My lover is dark and dazzling, better than ten thousand others!

Seeking counsel isn’t a sign of WEAKNESS but a sign of STRENGTH.

4.    Forgive EARLY and OFTEN.

You can hold onto the GRUDGE, or you can hold onto the PERSON.
