While Pastor Kevin is away on vacation, Assoc. Pastor Andy Barlow brings a message to remind the Church that God is still in the business of transforming lives, and that transformation embodies those who have a real & personal faith in Jesus Christ.- Romans 12:1-2

As Pastor Kevin finishes up a part of The Disciple's Journey series called "Lessons on Assurance," he teaches COC that God promises to provide guidance to those who will not lean on their own understanding & acknowledge His will & power.- Proverbs 3:5-6

As Pastor Kevin continues to walk thru Lessons on Assurance in this series called "The Disciple's Journey", he goes to Scripture to look at how those who are in Christ can have assurance that their sins have been forgiven.- 1 John 4:9

As the Disciple's Journey series rolls on, Pastor Kevin teaches Coastal Oaks how the one who follows Jesus Christ lives free from the bondage of sin in this life.- 1 Corinthians 10:13

Can one be assured that their prayers will be heard and answered by God, our Father? An examination of Scripture would answer this question with a resounding, "Yes!" Join COC on this journey of teaching & learn how you too can be assured that God answers prayer.- John 16:24

A disciple of Jesus is most confident & bold when he or she knows beyond a shadow of a doubt that their salvation is secure. Pastor Kevin explores this phenomenon in Week #2 of our current series, "The Disciple's Journey" series.- 1 John 5:1, 12-13

After spending extensive time working through a series called "The Master's Plan for Disciple-Making," where Pastor Kevin walked through in detail what it means to be a disciple-making Church, he now embarks on a new series which will lay out our specific plan to make disciples at Coastal Oaks Church, and embody the Church that God intended us to be.- Matthew 28:19-20, 22:36-40

On the day chosen to celebrate COC's 30th Anniversary, Pastor Kevin takes time to remind us that the work of the Gospel is about making a successfull handoff, like in a relay race, to those who would commit to follow Christ - focusing on discipleship & mentoring.- Joshua 4:4-7, 19-24

As COC wraps up our "Master's Plan for Disciple-Making" series, Pastor Kevin concludes with a reminder that the 1 goal of the Church is to make disciples, above all other things. The Church (read: the people) can easily find themselves busy doing lots of things "in church", but making disciples is not only to be high on the priority list; it is to the only thing on the priority list.

In the 2nd to last installment of this teaching series, Pastor Kevin explores in depth what it means to remain in Christ, asking "What does it mean to remain?", "What hinders us from remaining in Christ?", and examining some characteristics of one who remains in Christ.- John 15:1-17
