For this interview, I’m recording live right in front of The Bean in Chicago, kicking things off with my co-host Chi as we dive into our
very first experiences exploring the city together. I start by painting the scene for listeners, the crowds constantly moving around us,
the sounds of the city blending with conversations and street performers, and the sharp difference in weather compared to the warmth
of the Coachella Valley. From there, I ask Chi about her first reaction to seeing The Bean in person and how it compares to how she
imagined it. I also share some of my own initial impressions as we talk through everything we’ve done since arriving, from trying new
foods to navigating the busy streets, and we highlight the moments that have stuck with us the most so far. We get into what’s
surprised us whether it’s the energy of the city, the architecture, or just how different daily life feels here. I also ask Chi about her
favorite part of Chicago up to this point, and together we dig into the contrasts between this urban environment and our home in the
desert: the weather, the pace of life, the food culture, and even simple things like public transportation. Along the way, we reflect on
the things we didn’t expect to miss about the Coachella Valley and what feels refreshing or inspiring about being in a completely new
place, experiencing the city through fresh eyes.
