When you first hear a name that is unfamiliar in the industry, you don't think much of it and quickly forget about it. However, when you hear that name over and over, year after year, it begins to stick out and you wonder "Where did this person come from??"

This is exactly how I felt about Cody Matechuk. Now a big name in the Snow Bikecross taking 3 Gold Medals and 1 Bronze Medal in the Winter X-Games. Though this seems that Cody came out of nowhere which is some what true, Cody has a strong racing background that he explains in the interview.

Though this episode is a little longer, you will find as you reach the end, it was well worth the listen! Cody is full of knowledge and experience that when he breaks down how sponsorships have really helped his career take off, he also teaches that there is immense value that needs to be be given from the athlete if you want to maintain a good standing with your sponsorship.
