Most of us spend a large part of our lives chasing success. We work hard, pursue goals, build careers, grow businesses, and do our best to provide for the people we love. But eventually many of us begin asking a different question:
Is there more to life than achievement?
In this episode of Coffee and the Cross: Faith, Family and Fitness, we explore the difference between success, significance, and stewardship. Inspired by a recent article from John Maxwell, we'll discuss what it means to use our time, talents, relationships, finances, and influence for something bigger than ourselves.
God has entrusted each of us with opportunities to impact the people around us. The question isn't how much we've been given—it's what we're doing with what we've been entrusted.
Join me as we talk about influence, responsibility, leadership, generosity, and how significance often grows from simple acts of faithfulness that happen behind the scenes.
If you've ever wondered how to make a greater impact with your life, this conversation is for you.

In this episode of Coffee and the Cross, we continue the Flawed Men, Faithful God series with the powerful story of Jacob Pt 2, a man known for striving, manipulation, and wrestling with God.
Jacob’s journey in Genesis is one of the most relatable in the Bible for men today. From deception and control to surrender and transformation, his story shows what happens when a man tries to manage his life on his own—and how God meets him in the middle of fear, pressure, and responsibility.
If you’re a Christian man struggling with control, leadership, identity, or trusting God in your marriage, work, or finances, this episode will help you understand how real change happens—not through striving, but through surrender.
This is a conversation about faith in real life, biblical manhood, leadership, and learning to trust God when life feels uncertain.

In this episode of Coffee and the Cross, we continue the Flawed Men, Faithful God series by looking at the life of Isaac—a man whose story isn’t loud or dramatic, but steady, faithful, and deeply relevant for everyday men.
Isaac didn’t build the promise like Abraham or fight through life like Jacob. He lived in what was already started, and his leadership was marked by consistency, obedience, and quiet faithfulness. Even when pressure came and old patterns showed up, Isaac stayed where God called him and trusted God to provide instead of forcing outcomes.
If you’ve ever felt like your life is ordinary, like you’re just showing up, working hard, and trying to lead your family well without much recognition, this episode will remind you that faithfulness in the everyday matters more than you think.
We also look at Isaac’s mistakes, the patterns he inherited, and how his life points forward to Jesus—the promised Son who would come and do what no man could do perfectly.
This is a real conversation about staying steady, trusting God under pressure, and learning that you don’t have to live a big life to live a faithful one.

In this episode of Coffee and the Cross, we continue the Flawed Men, Faithful God series by looking at the life of Noah—a man the Bible describes as righteous, blameless, and someone who walked with God in the middle of a corrupt world.
Noah’s story isn’t just about the ark—it’s about faithful leadership, daily obedience, and staying consistent when no one is watching. We unpack what it means to walk with God in real life, how Noah handled responsibility under pressure, and what his story teaches us about integrity, discipline, and leadership as Christian men.
We also take an honest look at Noah’s failure after the flood, reminding us that even strong men have weak moments—and that God’s grace still covers it.
If you’re a husband, father, or working man trying to follow Jesus while carrying real-world pressure, this episode will help you understand how consistent faith—not perfection—is what God uses to build strong men.

Adam was the first man God created… and the first man to fail.
In this episode of the Flawed Men, Faithful God series on Coffee and the Cross, we start at the very beginning of the Bible and look at the story of Adam in Genesis. Adam had everything a man could want—purpose, responsibility, relationship with God, and a family to lead. But when fear and failure entered the picture, Adam did what many men still do today… he hid.
We’ll walk through the story of Adam and explore the pattern that many men fall into: failure, fear, and hiding. But the story doesn’t end there. Genesis also shows us something powerful about the character of God—He pursues men even when they run.
If you’ve ever felt like you’ve failed as a husband, father, leader, or follower of Christ, Adam’s story is a reminder that God’s grace is bigger than your mistakes. We’ll talk about the leadership lessons from Adam’s life, what his story teaches us about responsibility and blame, and how the gospel points to Jesus as the second Adam who restores what the first man lost.
This episode is a conversation about real life, real failure, and the faithful God who keeps calling men forward.
