Why is it so important to know Jesus opened the eyes of the blind?

According to the Old Testament, only the Messiah or the Lord Himself gave sight to eyes.

When Jesus opened blind eyes, He was giving direct evidence that He was The One they were looking for; He was the Lord Himself.

When we are used by God to open blind eyes--we confirm Who He Is to the world and Who it Is we are following.

God Most-High; The Ancient of Days is known in the Scriptures as the Rider of the clouds.

When Caiaphas, the high-priest who oversaw the illegal trial of Jesus, charged Jesus to answer if He was the Messiah, Jesus stated, "You will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty-One and coming on the clouds of heaven."

Jesus was letting the world know that He is the Rider of the clouds. And, He was letting us know He had defeated Baal.

Baal had tried to project himself as the rider of the clouds in Babylon, in Israel, and in the spiritual realm.

Jesus, however, demonstrated once and for all that Baal is a counterfeit and powerless against the Most-High!
