It's a dangerous place and time when we start to drift, and separation finds itself between us and God. The devil loves to deceive us in these moments, even supply power and energy that deceives us into thinking we are firmly connected to God, but that power and energy can do some serious damage. When we rely on people passing laws to remove a weapon of evil instead of the Bible to change evil itself, we allow the world to change us instead of us changing the World. We try to outsmart the devil instead of relying on God. We can never outsmart the devil, but with God, we have the Power of Jesus Christ released within us to overpower him. Luke Chapter 8 is full of wonderful treasures, but never overlook the importance of the first three verses. They encapsulate our the mission, Jesus' role, and ours in the mission field we call "life"! In a chapter loaded with the miraculous works of Jesus, the greatest accomplishments we can imitate is the selfless acts that are the little things. The smallest acts of kindness are the foundation to our account under God. Change the world by a small act of kindness throughout the day, and the rewards we be greater than you can possible imagine!

People look to D.C, the news, TV, or social media to find a way out of these troubled times. The truth is, the solid ground we are looking for is in our own home. The key to getting it, is within a mother's love for a child.
