We finally did it! We made it through all 3 published Crescent City books and it took a million years! (Actually, it took 9 weeks, but who's counting!). This week is the epic conclusion of The House of Flame and Shadow by Sarah J Maas and this week we read chapters 79-90. This week, even though we're late, we question the choices that everyone makes. We also don't understand some of the choices that the land of Midgard makes, but everything is wrapped up in a neat little bow (almost anyways) and that's what we care about!

It's week 8 with Crescent City 3, House of Flame and Shadow by Sarah J Maas and this week we're reading chapters 79-90. This week, Ithan deals with the consequences of being Prime by meeting with the Under King, but they don't like what he has to say. Meanwhile, everyone else is converging on the Eternal City to do their takedown of the Asteri - with the armies of Hel in tow! It's sure to be an epic showdown!

It's week 7 with A House of Flame and Shadow by Sarah J Maas and this week we're reading chapters 63-78. This week, Bryce gets used to being the leader, while Ithan decidedly turns it down even though he wants the fae to choose differenty...as long as it isn't him. Ruhn and Lidia continue to get closer to each other and turns out that we aren't done with Prythian yet!

It's week 6 with Crescent City 3 - House of Flame and Shadow by Sarah J Maas, and this week we're reading chapters 52-62. This week, our crews eventually come together, but before they do, Bryce and Hunt get in a fight, and it makes everyone feel acco taco. Ruhn doesn't even notice that his friends are missing since he and Lidia are so busy forgiving each other - and Ithan is barely there, which is fine with us!

It's week 5 with Crescent City 3 - House of Flame and Shadow by Sara J Maas, and this week we're reading chapters 42 - 51. This week, Bryce and Hunt are reunited! But instead of fun times, they get into an argument, becuase Hunt thinks it's all his fault. Also, we learn Lidia's motivation for turning spy, and we get frustrated with every single man in the book series, treating Lidia like a dried-up old boot.

It's our 4th week with Crescent City: House of Flame and Shadow by SJM, and this week we're reading chapters 31 to 41. This week, Bryce makes it back to her world and pulls an amazing plan for information before finally reuniting with Hunt. Lidia essentially rescues the boys single-handidly and we cannot stop telling them to chill it on the whining!

It's week 3 with Sarah J Maas' Crescent City Book 3, House of Flame and Shadow, and this week we're reading chapters 19-30. This week, Bryce continues to grow closer to Nesta and Azriel, but she makes a terrible decision that affects how they see her. Lidia is single-handedly trying to save Hunt, Ruhn, and Baxion by getting the sprite Queen's help, but she isn't covering tracks well! And Ithan and Tharion are whining the entire time about how they think everything is their fault, and we are eye-rolling the whole time.

It's week 2 with Crescent City 3: House of Flame and Shadow by Sarah J Maas. This week, Bryce, Nesta, and Azriel share more about themselves, and we finally start to get some answers! Hunt, Ruhn, and Baxion are still suffering, but they've come up with a plan of escape without Lidia. Finally, Ithan and crew are not very smart and antagonize the Viper Queen AND Ariadne...plus he keeps talking about what an athlete he is.

It's our first week with Book 3 of Sarah J Maas' Crescent City series - House of Flame and Shadow! This is a big one, so we're doing it for the next 2 months to gear up for the release of ACOTAR Book 6 - A Court of Splintered Harmony! We're reading chapters 1-7. This week, we reacquaint ourselves with Bryce, Hunt, Ruhn, Lidia, and yes....even Ithan...who apparently plays Sunball? We complain about the timeline and about Ithan some more, and we just try to remember what's been happening since it's been ages since we read this book!

It's our last episode with The Fallen and the Kiss of Dusk by Carissa Broadbent, and this week we're finishing off chapters 62 to the end. This week, we reach the end of Asar and Mische's story. Asar does what he thinks is best for Mische and ascends to divinity, at the cost of everything he knows, and the dead choose a new leader to represent them (and it's glorious)! Plus, the question we've been asking for weeks on how this will be resolved? It's resolved perfectly! Plus, we get an epilogue introducing Septimus, the character who is the main focus for the next duet!
