Marcion believed that there are two Gods, an evil God of the Old testament and a good God of the New. There are no Marcionists today, but so many people wish to disconnect the God of justice from the God of mercy, running away from His eternal law.

We are taught to keep religion hidden; to keep it a private matter, lest we be "cancelled." But Christ calls us to be the light of the world, and the call to prevent talking about religion is, in itself, an imposition of belief. We are made to illuminate the world, and we cannot be stopped.

Today's society follows Nietzche in his attempt to be superman, but the Beatitudes tell us to do otherwise. We are taught not to be the superman we want to be, nor the superman that we world wants us to be, but the superman God made us to be.

The Eucharist is the "Source and Summit." But what does it mean? It is the source, because all that we have and all that we are come from it. It is the summit, because all that we have and all that we are must go to it if we wish to see God in the eternal face-to-face.

Pride is like salt; it's in everything. Today we talk about acting with impure intentions, and how to let go of our selfishness.
