In our Season 1 finale, I sit down to discuss and share my thoughts on dealing with anger righteously, and arguing in a spiritually healthy and Godly manner within a Christian relationship. With scriptural backing, personal experience, a nice hot cup of coffee, and the occasional chime in from Sierra, I really wanted to tackle this topic for our season finale because so many Christians struggle to control their anger and argue or disagree in a way that is pleasing to God. Is there a such thing as a “healthy” argument? What does God say about arguing and disagreements? My hope is that God can help us begin to answer these vital questions through His word and what He continues to reveal and grow in my own marriage.
Today I encourage you all to enjoy a hot cup of coffee with me as I share scripture on, and talk about, a subject that God has recently been burdening my spirit with—grace. Accepting God’s grace is an essential first step, but we often forget that grace is also a state of being that we must choose to live and abide in daily. God’s grace is free to every single one of us, we just have to be bold enough to take it and brave enough to live in it.
Today, in a slightly different episode, I sat down with my sister, Sierra Benning, and we began to converse with the mic on to see where our conversation would lead. We ended up in a wonderful discussion about the dangers of comparing ourselves to the lives of those around us, and about how we as Christian’s must never lose sight of God’s plans for us, even if it means changing or adapting our own plans.
Today I sit down with my mother, Nicole Benning, to discuss the trials and joys of the hardest job we have as women—motherhood. We also discuss navigating the ever growing challenges of being a mom in today’s world, and how more than ever we must lean on the Lord to gain our wisdom, guidance, and strength.
Today’s guest Dominique and I have an honest and personal conversation about racism and police brutality. This topic has been hijacked and influenced by celebrities and politicians, so I take a moment to ask my sister who sits across the pew from me about her personal experience and her story.
Rachel McDaniel sits down with me to share her story of her sexual assault. We talk about her testimony, getting lost, and finding God. We talk about church culture and the denial and shame that surrounds sexual assault as well. I really enjoyed recording this episode, and I hope you enjoy it too.
On this episode of Coffee In Eden I sit down with Rachel Howard to discuss sex before marriage, sex during marriage, sex after children, and how to navigate them in a Christian relationship.
Tyler and I share a testimony for dating, engaged, or married couples that have gone through premarital sex and the aftermath. We share hope and redemption through Jesus that changes everything.
My sister joins me to discuss advice, experiences, and testimonies about singleness.
The very first episode of Coffee in Eden! I introduce myself, talk briefly about what the podcast is about, and then we discuss traits a husband should have, and how to know if he could be your Husband or if it just might be time to move on.
