Strengths-based practice - sounds simple enough, right? But are you truly using a strengths-based approach, or are you just creating isolated moments for your client to engage with their interests while you actually still try to make them act neurotypical because you're not engaging with your own biases and internalized ableism instead of taking a client-centered, functional, holistic therapeutic approach that encourages the client to be the agent of their own change?
