The marriage jug storyline may not be as useless as we once thought, Lorelai thinks Luke's life is her life but her life isn't Luke's life and Emily's feeling the life she always had slipping away.

It's the only episode to win a major television award and for good reason! The costumes are gorgeous. But are the performances as amazing? Kirk is doing some light reading to prepare for the role of a lifetime and the band is auditioning new guitarists (spoiler alert: not all of them are winners). We're continuing our discussion of cancel and celebrity culture by bringing Britney Spears into the mix. Then, we're talking about Paris settling in at school, new characters (some better than others), the beginnings of Richard and Emily's rift, and the failed attempt to give Sookie a deeper story - which has us wondering about society's treatment of overweight women.

The Gilmore Girls are heading to Yale and running into familiar faces and meeting new ones. Could this be the best episode of Gilmore Girls ever? We discuss. We're also talking about an essay by Robin Silbergleid, who notes that if Lorelai was Black or poor, she wouldn't have been such a great role model in the early 2000s.
