Conrad is constantly learning new things about God. He likens this to reading the Bible and having sudden new revelations about things he has read many times before. He talks about how this spiritual progression has been there the whole time and he is only now seeing it everywhere.
Conrad begins by talking about how, as Christians, we are called to move from a place of fearing God to one of loving Him. He then talks about how Jesus defines love, saying that we are called to love God with all our heart, mind, and strength.
Jesus says that those who love Him will keep His commandments, and He will manifest Himself to them. Judas asks why Jesus will not manifest Himself to the world if He loves them. Jesus explains that if someone loves Him, they will keep His commandments. This is a contrast between those who believe and those who love Jesus. Jesus will manifest Himself to those who love Him.
Conrad argues that Christians need to have a spiritual relationship with Jesus, and cites Matthew 7:21-23 as evidence. In that passage, Jesus says that many people will call him Lord but he will not know them, because they have not done the will of his Father. Conrad asks if this means that Jesus never manifested himself to these people before their personal judgment day.
