Look, this isn’t going to be one of those podcast episodes where the host tells you to create a complex plan a year in advance and start batching the shit out of your content in February so you can take the summer off.  The answer really might not be getting more organised or productive.  So you can breathe a little sigh of relief my love.

This IS going to be the kind of podcast where I get really REAL about what I do in order to take time off - not just in the summer but regularly - with my daughter without a dip in income.  And one of those things might not be the most popular, but it’s the truth.  And I think it SHOULD be popular… but we’ll get to that ;) 

Because ready or not those summer holidays are looming and as mothers and business owners having a long school break can be complicated for us, right?

The unsexy truth about business is that it can be incredibly lonely.  But I don’t think it gets talked about enough so I want us to change that today.

Because I know there are likely women listening to this - possibly you my love? - who are feeling lonely or isolated by being a business owner right now.

And having been there I get it.  I like sooooo get it.

I will fully admit that I have experienced some painfully lonely times in my business.  There were times when things went horribly wrong and I wept alone in my office without anyone who would really understand.  Equally there have been times when I have achieved something epic and felt amazing and then suddenly felt so alone without someone who truly gets it to celebrate with.  

Those are like the two ends of the loneliness spectrum but there can be all manner of opportunities to feel isolated or like no one gets it in between.

So I want us to unpack this topic today.  I want you to know that you’re not alone in your loneliness but more importantly I want to share how I cured my loneliness in business once and for all so that you can too.

Yes, I can help you manifest that.  Yep, even that.  Yes, yes I know it seems impossibly big.  Mmmhmm I know you haven’t done that before.  Yes, I know you don’t know how; that doesn’t matter.  No, that’s not a real reason why you can’t.

How do I know?  I have manifested some truly epic sh*t in my own life and biz (I mean case in point: I am currently living what used to be my dream life - pinch me!) and I have helped countless women do the same.

Here’s what I know to be true: it’s all energy.  It doesn’t matter if you want to manifest one client or a hundred clients, the energetic principles at play are the same.

And those energetic principles?  Those my love are our ticket to results.

Because the old work hard, hustle and sacrifice paradigm does not work for us Mamas who value family time and would like a little r&r right about now.

Who else has needed or is in need of a post-lockdown reboot or reset? I know I did! After more than a year of my schedule and home life shifting and shifting again - 

Kids in school, kids being homeschooled, kids off school entirely (you know what it’s been like, you don’t need me to tell you!) 

I realised that so many of the habits and practises that had previously served me so well had somewhere along the way just evaporated.

It wasn’t until I was feeling like we had too much going on in my business that I even realised.

And it was like a domino effect of realisation.  Like “oh, I’ve stopped doing this… oh and this… and wait, this too”.  I kind of felt like a brand new baby entrepreneur again or like I’d somehow been returned to my factory settings lol.

Here’s what I always find to be true: what is true for one is true for many.  So I’m suspecting that you might need a reset too.

Let’s talk about life after lockdown today.  Let’s talk about giving ourselves permission to not have just made a smooth and slick transition back into life and biz and our old habits as soon as restrictions have started to lift.

And let’s take this opportunity to reset, reboot and go forward in a way - possibly even a new way - that will serve us (and our families and businesses!) best.
