September 12, 2020 Navid Afkari an Iranian wrestler who was sentenced to death and executed by the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran for protesting against the regime during 2018 unrests in Iran, as well as his alleged act of murder of an undercover security guard from the IRGC that occurred during the 2018 Iranian protests. His brothers Vahid and Habib were sentenced to 54 and 27 years, respectively, in prison in the same case. While Afkari initially accepted the murder charge, he would later state that it had been a forced confession, with him having been tortured into making a false confession. Despite Islamic Republic's efforts to portray Navid's execution as a retribution for the deceased security guard, the murder charge was never proven.

David Blaine Has Begun His Ascension Balloon Stunt Live on 09/02/2020 The stunt will see the 47-year-old float through the air using a bunch of helium balloons - much like the house in Up. The stunt, which is said to have been '10 years in the making', was originally due to take place in his hometown New York City on 31 August, but due to windy conditions in The Big Apple it was moved to Page, Arizona, today (Wednesday). On Aug 15 a five year old boy Cannon Hinnant was killed in North Carolina. The suspect was a neighbor of eight years. The father stated that there was no bad blood between him and Daruis Sessons (the suspect) and is very confused on the motivate for is neighbor's actions.
