Hebrews 7:11-22

Join us as Keith brings the Word!

When life gets difficult and discouraging, it's easy to get frustrated and lose your joy and motivation. And yet the writer of Hebrews would point you to Abraham, who knew what it meant to have patience and perseverance, and the important part both play in inheriting God's promises and finishing well. For when you're anchored in hope, you're sure to be blessed.

Listen in as three members of the COG team each share about the ways they are reaching our city for Christ, one relationship at a time! As a beacon of faith, hope, and love, we at COG are committed to reaching beyond our walls and making a difference in our community - so thank you for your prayers and support for us and for our city!

In this message we are going to focus on what the writer of Hebrews refers to as maturing from milk to eating solid foods, the meat of the word of God.

There is a season for everything, but we often struggle to recognize what season we're in. God desires us all to prosper, but we know that summer doesn't last forever. Only through the process of fall, winter and spring are deeper truths activated that cause eternity to come alive in our hearts.

The Word of God has a powerful way of exposing the deepest things in our hearts before a holy God. Yet because of Jesus' humanity and victory, we can approach God's throne with boldness and find grace and mercy.

Rested or restless - which of these terms best describe you this week?  We are reminded in Hebrews 4 that Jesus is inviting us to enter His rest, and promises us rest when we choose to obey Him through faith.

How has your father shaped your view of God? Since all earthly fathers are imperfect representations of our heavenly Father, it's important to study who the Bible says He is. Because when you know who He is, then you know who you are, and then you know what to do. May you experience the true father heart of God today, allowing it to transform you from the inside out.
