Cognitive Distancing: How to Separate from Negative Thoughts

In this episode I discuss two techniques to create space from negative thought processes, cognitive distancing and cognitive defusion. By deciding how we engage with thoughts, whether they have validity or not, and being able to watch them drift by, we can extinguish negative thoughts before they impact our emotions and behaviours.
