Coinstack's This Week in Crypto:
ποΈ Top Weekly News π΅ Weekly Fundraises π Key Stats π Report Highlights π Top 10 Performers π§ Best Podcasts
The top crypto news, reports, and stats of the week. We also cover our latest Bitcoin forecast. We are now in the last 4-6 months of the bull market. Based on on-chain analytics and the amount of capital coming into the space from institutional investors, crypto markets are headed toward a double market peak as we first predicted July 5. We expect to see new all-time high during Fall 2021 for both Bitcoin and Ethereum. While things could change, we expect to see $80k+ BTC and $6k+ ETH by the end of 2021, driving major increases in most other L1 and DeFi valuations.

In this episode we interview Mike Gavela, an on-chain analyst who focuses on Bitcoin and Ethereum. We explain what on-chain analysis is, how on-chain analysis works, how to predict short and medium-term price movements using on-chain analysis, and the best tools in the space like Glassnode, TokenTerminal, and Dune Analytics. We also discuss our market forecast for where the price of Bitcoin and Ethereum will reach in the current cycle. Mike is confident we will pass $100k BTC and $5k ETH in this cycle based on the on-chain data, market cycle lengthening, and the amount of capital coming into the space. Mike also introduces us to three of his favorite metrics Realized Price, NUPL and SOPR. In addition to Bitcoin and Ethereum we also discuss Solana and Polkadot.Β

=======================
Ethereum:
1. Settles more daily value than Bitcoin ($22B vs. $6B)
And now with the launch of EIP-1559 it will begin to reduce its supply by using its transaction fees to burn Ether.Β
In early 2022 it will move to a Proof of Stake (PoS) network and will begin to have a deflationary supply -- meaning that its supply will be going down every year -- while Bitcoin's supply will continue to go up until 2140.Β
In this podcast we update you on what's happening with Ethereum and its native currency Ether (ETH).
it looks like the bulls are returning as Bitcoin has had its first daily close above its 200 day MA and grew in price from $29k to $39k (+33% in the last seven days)... but will it be a temporary bump or the start of a sustained rally toward the expected Fall 2021 Double Peak?
In this episode we share the weekly crypto news, talk about BTC nearing $40k and Ether passing $2400, share the top fundraises of the week, and talk about family offices and institutions getting more exposure into digital assets.
Itβs exciting times in the world of Ethereum with the networkβs much anticipated EIP-1559 set to go live next week on August 4, 2021.
We also mention Fireblocks, Genesis Digital, Eco, Amazon hiring for a blockchain role, the Bitcoin Short Squeeze, Binance and FTX leverage reductions, BlockFi's future IPO plans, Nigeria's CBDC plans, and The Delphi Podcast with Santiago Santos from Parafi Capital.
This episode of Coinstack reviews the private stablecoin market for both centralized stablecoins like USDT and USDC as well as decentralized stablecoins like Dai and UST -- and the potential for China, the USA, and Europe to develop Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs).
We talk about the regulatory environment, the Presidential Working Group on Financial Markets and their meeting earlier this week on Stablecoins -- and how a public-private partnership is being formed that has the chance to put the USA ahead of China on the path to a digital dollar.
We also talk about stablecoin reserves. Did you know that USDC has 73% of its reserves held in cash, cash equivalents and U.S. Treasuries, while USDT has just 26%? This safer reserve practice, has in part, led to Circle's USDC rise in the stablecoin market the last year -- going from 10% to 20% market share. USDT (Tether) remains the leader with 60% market share, but how long will that last?

This week we talk about:
Are you invested into DeFi yet? Well, you should be.
Host Ryan Allis introduces the UMACS trade -- investing in Uniswap, Maker, Aave, Compound, and Sushi and also discusses new Institutional DeFi offerings from Aave and Compound that will bring trillions of dollars of additional capital from hedge funds, pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, and corporates into DeFi in a safe manner.
The holy grail of safe, predictable yield for corporate treasuries is here via KYC'd DeFI -- and this is likely to bring a lot of opportunity for DeFi investors.
