Jeffrey Lynn Smith’s mother was a housekeeper for Bill Clinton’s family and was named after Virginia Clinton Kelley’s husband at the time - Jeff Dwire. She never loved the name so she went by Lynn, Lynn went missing on December 4, 1985, in Hot Springs, Arkansas. She was walking home with her boyfriend and a friend from school during the festive season. Lynn's boyfriend claims they parted ways, but she never made it home. The police initially treated her disappearance as a runaway case and did not launch an official search. However, her family knew something was wrong, and they conducted their own search efforts. Lynn's beloved opal ring was later found pawned on the day she disappeared. The case went cold, but in 2008, it was reopened as a homicide investigation. The police have a suspect but have not released their name. Lynn's family continues to advocate for her and all missing children but besides the opal ring, no trace of Lynn has ever been found.
