  • Cold Coffee - Media Literacy for Ukrainian Teens

How do Ukrainian teenagers adapt to life in emigration? In this episode, we explore the inspiring journey of young Ukrainians in Warsaw who are turning the challenges of displacement into an opportunity for growth.

We are joined by Svitlana Mialyk (Світлана Мялик) and Iva Lomas (Іва Ломас) to discuss a vital educational project: a Media School for Ukrainian youth. This isn't just about learning technical skills; it’s a lifeline for teenagers navigating the complexities of living abroad.

    Ukrainian Youth: Adapting in Poland

Behind every headline about the war in Ukraine, there is a generation of young people navigating the quiet, complex struggle of building a life in a new country. This video takes you inside a unique Media School in Warsaw, where Ukrainian teenagers are doing more than just learning technical skills—they are finding their voices and reclaiming their futures.

Media School in Warsaw: Our Story

For many of these young people, the transition to life abroad is a journey marked by profound displacement and the search for identity. In an era where information is often used as a weapon, we focus on providing them with the essential tools of media literacy. “Our curriculum empowers them to identify propaganda, challenge misinformation, and understand the nuance of the digital world”- Svitlana Mialyk.

Can Media Literacy Save a Generation?

In the UK, we deeply value the freedom of speech and the importance of a well-rounded education. By supporting these media literacy initiatives, we are helping these resilient teenagers protect themselves against the psychological toll of conflict and disinformation.

The Reality of Being a Refugee Student

Join us as we explore how education and community can transform the challenges of emigration into a powerful story of adaptation and strength. Together, we can ensure that these voices are not just heard, but are equipped to lead.

  • Cold Coffee / Холодна кава - E-Visa Part 2

From 2025, Great Britain (UK) will implement a digital system of border control and migration. An electronic visa (e-visa) will be used to cross the UK border for entry instead of physical documents such as plastic biometric cards (BRP/BRC) and visa stickers. E-visa is an online record of your immigration status and conditions of stay in the UK. It shows that you have the right to legally stay in the UK, as well as what visa or status you have and until what date it is valid.

In this edition Iva Repnytska goes into the process in detail.

Read the English translation of this podcast in the text equivalent and listen to the podcast in Ukrainian. Forward this important information to those Ukrainians who have not yet made an e-visa.
