The overturning of Roe v Wade by the Supreme Court has signaled a new era for American politics, with one decision women's bodily autonomy has been left to the mercy of state legislatures. The first tangible steps of Christian fascism as the lines between church and state become blurred due to the biases of conservative Supreme Court Justices. Concerns as to which direction the Court will decide as midterm elections could determine the majorities in Congress, and the future of rights such as birth control and same-sex marriage.

The tragic massacre at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas has brought the divisive issue of gun control into the mainstream discourse once again. With Democrats clamoring for bans on AR-15s and long rifles there is resistance not only from the GOP but leftist gun owners as well. Inflation continues to pinch the wallets of the working class as consumer prices for gas and food continue to get more expensive. The Russo-Ukrainian war enters a new phase where both sides must endure attrition, with Russians slowly gaining a foothold in the Donbas region it's feared the Ukrainian battle group may get encircled. The United Nations for the first time issued a watered-down report on their assessment of natural global systems. That if radical change towards the economic system is not made "total societal collapse" is inevitable.

A new war has started as Russia is set on regime change in Ukraine, despite all odds the outgunned nation is determined to defend their homeland. Putin has completely alienated Russia from the world as the West and NATO move to isolate the mighty bear from the SWIFT system. Many speculate this may grow into a wider conflict, the start of WW3 and the prospect of nuclear armageddon.

A continuation of decades of occupation and apartheid, as far-right zionist settlers continue to violate international law with their de-facto annexation of the West Bank. India not only faces challenges with their second wave of Covid-19, but also with cyclones battering the coast forcing over a million to evacuate.
