Last we left off, just a few hours after the assassination attempt on Garron the party sets their sights on Grimwing. They move in to strike and just manage to get the drop on him. Voyas blocks the door to the Harpy Room with her shield, (Captain America style), and the patrons start to panic. On the outside Zechs sees guards move towards the door and the sounds of Arbane’s voice and his beasts in the distance. Meanwhile, back inside the party quickly discovers just exactly how the Stone of Revival works and the mystery behind the venom walkers. As Grimwing meets his end, a flash of light leaves his chest, goes towards the tower and back into him in a flash. He is transformed into a massive drider-like creature that screeches loud enough for the entire casino to hear. Galahad, Voyas, and the others go to strike the creature down, and outside Zechs knows that’s his cue to act. Grimwing falls twice but is, just as quickly, brought back up as this creature. Zechs finally gets to the rest of the group to see the sight for himself and warn them that they have company incoming. Salix banishes the creature and Galahad takes his mighty sword Kanna’s Fury and creates a giant hole for an exit. The group disappears into the night back to the safe house, uncertain if they were followed but confident that despite how things went the information they learned was vital. Invenas is on high alert, the party is exhausted but feeling accomplished for once and they decide to rest before the madness ensues the next day. There’s so much happening and that’s where we pick up…
