Collect & Connect

Where have I been? What is new? Why am I in the car? Find out now!

Today was the latest example of that chaos that has become store exclusives for sale. What happened? What does this likely mean for stores? Collectors? Yourself? It was the first time I was live on IG as I did this and read comments from the community while recording this video.

Cam from Inky Knuckles and I had a great follow-up chat from our last discussion. There is so much that connects the original art and comic book community but we are trying to merge the two like never before!

We all love the hunt and speculating what we think may be the next "big" thing. Value increase and making some money off the hobby, when warranted, is great! It is part of the allure to the hobby of collecting comic books. What is not okay is predatory pricing by individuals who have no agenda other than making the most profit and pump and dump. It hurts collectors and it hurts the community.

I do have an affinity for alliteration (see what I did there haha), but the name goes a lot farther than just having C's in the beginning. I feel these are fundamental components to the community and I break down why each are important.

First Instagram, then YouTube, now a podcast? What is going on?! Well...there is more to it and I am excited to share why and some updates on what you can look forward to in the near future!

Welcome to the Ryancomicguy podcast where I talk comic books and comic book related news.
