We're in our fourth and final part of the "Difference Maker" message series. We believe that within each and every one of us there is a built in desire to make a difference, to live with purpose. We know this because our Creator has made us to be difference makers. God has uniquely shaped you to make a difference.
Today, we're in part 2 of our Difference Maker series. It's not a matter of if you are or are not a difference-maker. We are all making a difference in some way or another. Our Creator made us to become difference makers.
It's not a matter of if you are or are not a difference maker. We are all making a difference in some way or another. Our creator has made us to be difference makers. If our LORD fearfully and wonderfully made us, He certainly did not create us to drift through life here on earth. This week we'll lay some of the ground work and terms we'll be discussing during this series.
Our culture is aiming to tell us what and who we are, but the Bible call us who we are...His. So what do we need to know about combating culture today?
Money matters to God. So as a church family we're taking three weeks together to turn to scripture and have a few "money talks." Our goal in teaching this series is to help us all not have our hearts captured by things and money. Instead, have our hearts captured by God.

We are in the final part of a three week series in the book of Proverbs. As God's people we are not called to be common, but uncommon. When Jesus prayed in John 17, He said that He has sent you and I into the world, but that we are not to be of the world. The book of Proverbs is full of knowledge, wisdom and instruction to help us live as God's people. Sent into the world but not of it. This week the Lord is going to use Proverbs to guide us, as parents. We'll make some observations around the key passage below, and make our application by listing the characteristics of godly parents.
Key Passage: Proverbs 22:6
"Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it."
This week the book of Proverbs will help us discuss the topic of Alcohol. We're going to answer three important questions in this sermon...
1. Are Baptists against alcohol?
2. Is the Bible against alcohol?
3. What do we do about this substance that appears to be everywhere?
The Bible tells us in 1 Peter 2:9 that as Jesus' disciples we are a peculiar people. In other words, we are not ordinary. In fact, based on this passage we could say that we are uncommon. The book of Proverbs is full of knowledge, wisdom and instruction to help us live as God's uncommon people with uncommon sense, because what's become common isn't what we're called to.
