Collector Chatter

We are happy to be back for our first episode of 2023!!! Even though it seems Funko took some downtime for the holidays, just like us, they have started 2023 with a bang! Now let's chat!

*Unfortunately, we needed to stop this episode abruptly, but don't worry, we will be back next week and pick up right where we left off!

Time flies when you are having fun, and 2022 was just that in the world of Funko! There were lots of ups and downs in the Funko community, but overall it was a great year. We got tons of new POPs, Sodas, a bunch of new lines and dove deep into the world of NFTs! We chat about our favorites from Funko in 2022 and speculate what we think is coming in the new year! We hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! As always, thank you for all your support because we couldn't do it without you! Once again, Happy Holidays, and get ready for Collector Chatter in 2023! Now let's chat!

Collector Council is back, so you know what that means, Trae, a.k.a. South Texas Collectibles, returns to Collector Chatter to join in on the conversation! The hot off-the-press topic that we jump right into is that Brian Mariotti is returning as Funko's CEO!!! The rest of the news this week wasn't that much, but we got the announcement of the Elf NFTs being the major highlight! Finally, we open up the Black Friday, GameStop exclusive Mandalorian Funko mystery box! Join the Collector Council as we dive into all of this! Now let's chat!

We hope you all had a great Thanksgiving and are gearing up for the Holiday season! I think you can tell by our seasonal logo that we are excited! We hope you all got some good Black Friday deals, as a lot was happening in the Funko world! In the news, however, it was a slow week, but we did get some noteworthy announcements! On a not-so-positive note, we tackle an issue happening in the Funko Community, and that is scammers! Now let's chat!

It's our 50th episode, and we have SOOO much to cover! The news has been non-stop, not to mention Popapalooza and Freddy's Beach Bash! However, the big elephant in the room is that Funko Sodas no longer have a piece count?!? We have very mixed feelings about this, but of course, we will give our thoughts! We also have some awesome Disney news to discuss, but unfortunately, we also have some very sad news about the passing of one of our childhood heroes and friend of the community, Jason David Frank. May he rest in peace. Now let's chat!

Besides the typical news that got us quite excited, we dive into the biggest Funko news story of late, which was their stock crashing! Some people are saying Funko is dead! We give our thoughts on what this all means and why we think the future of Funko will be just fine! Make sure to listen to find out about our opinion on this manner and all these products Funko recently announced!

Happy Halloween! Join us in celebrating as we chat all things Halloween, Funko style! First and foremost, we give you a rundown of all the new Funko news! Also, today is the latest Funko NFT drop, WB Horror, and we preview all the redeemable POPs! Make sure to listen to find out about all these products Funko recently announced, and head over to our YouTube channel to see us in costume! Once again, we hope everyone has a fun Halloween!

This week we go all in on the news, especially NFTs!!! We dive into everything, but some of the biggest things announced were a bunch of new Marvel Pops, a new Justice League line exclusive to Target and let's not forget the Hanna-Barbera book and pop bundle by Brian Mariotti! However, the star of the show is all things NFTs! We give our thoughts on the latest Funko Halloween Series 2 Drop and the upcoming WB Horror Drop!!! Make sure to listen to find out about all these products Funko recently announced and so much more!!!

We are here to give you our NYCC 2022 Funko recap, even though we are still salty that we didn't get tickets to Fright Night!!! Funko also just announced the next NFT drop, which is Halloween Series 2, so we, of course, give our thoughts on that as well! Make sure to tune in to hear about all the good, the bad, and the ugly of NYCC!!!

Let's Go!!! Funko has returned to New York Comic Con with Frightmare on Fun Street, and the lineup is enormous!!! Let's not forget that they are also bringing the SDCC Fundays experience cross country to NYC with Fright Night! For all of us not lucky enough to get tickets to that event, Funko also gave us the Funko Fright Night Box of Fun, which was also another nightmare to get, but still awesome! As always, we share our thoughts but enlisted help from the Collector Council!!! Trae, a.k.a. South Texas Collectibles, returns to Collector Chatter to join in on the conversation!!! Make sure you tune in to find out our thoughts on all the Funko NYCC exclusives!!!
