College Avenue Baptist Church - San Diego

When you do battle in the name of our God expect to hit the wall, but remember that God is with you.

One of the empowering truths of the Bible is that God takes ordinary, normal people and uses them in life-transforming ways.  Elijah is a regular person like you.  He is not larger than life.  He combines incredible strength and courage with distressing fear and depression.  Yet, God uses him.  As we study the life and times of Elijah, dream about how God could use you for His glory!

Our God is God alone and wants our undivided loyalty to Him.

The best way to expose your idols is to suffer. How we respond to loss is an indicator of our idols. God wants us to learn that HE is all that we need.  Elijah learns that God is all that he needs. God will put you in situations where you HAVE to trust Him.

God is a jealous lover.

"Soul Food: Going Hungry for a Purpose" with Pastor Carlton P. Harris, is based on Matthew 6:16-18, and focuses on the topic of fasting.

One of the most natural and effective ways of sharing your Christian faith is through a clear retelling of your personal journey of how you came to intimately know Jesus. Pastor Carlton P. Harris addresses this topic in his sermon "And the Questions Is..." from Acts 8:26-40.

On Sunday, January 27, 2013, Gary Rohrmayer, the Executive Minister of CONVERGE MidAmerica, brought us a message entitled "Spiritual Conversations" from Luke 10:1-24.

On Sunday, January 20, 2013, our Pastor of Soul Care, Bryce Klabunde, shared with us a message about baptism, from 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, and Romans 6:3-5.

This week, our sermon is entitled “Reality Check” and is based on Psalm 90.
