College Basketball: Constructive Self-Trash-Talk with Stanford's Player Elena Bosgana

Listen Later

We created a new word that you hoopers are going to love !!! Constructive Self-Trash-Talk! Why it's not a thing yet? But first, let's meet today's amazing guest: Elena Bosgana, 20-year-old from Greece. Sagittarius, she left home when she was 17, she's a basketball player at Stanford and is also in the Greece National team. Our conversation flowed, and we manage to speak about many cool things:

  • Being a Basketball Athlete at Stanford: balancing academics, training, sleep schedule, social life and finding some alone time to recharge.
  • Going Pro: finding joy in the game and letting go of the fear of not making it professionally.
  • Call Failure by Its Name: can we ditch the toxic positivity and call it what it is? "Failure". It happens, and it's totally okay!
  • Mental Toughness & Positivity: why a strong mindset is essential in sports and how inspiration from other athletes can fuel your fire.
  • Huge shoutout to Celia Dupre for connecting us with Elena! Get ready for more inspiring college players on She GOAT! As toxic king Future would say: "Press Play!"...Also, spread the love like Nutella (or PBJ) on toast and send this episode to your favorite people <3
