Today, we examine the words of Jesus in Matthew 5:48, when He set the New Testament standard for how His followers should follow God. Jesus said, we are to, "...be perfect even as our heavenly father is perfect."  Does God require perfection from us? How can we be perfect in an imperfect world? How do we reconcile what appears to be a contrary statement?  Pastor Wade discusses these questions along with many others in today's teaching.

Jesus spoke to a man who for 38 years had been waiting to be healed. The man was asked if he would like to be healed...but all he gave Jesus was excuses why he couldn't get to where he needed to go to be healed. Associate Youth Pastor Taylor Murphy asks the question, "Do You Want this?" How many excuses do you offer the Lord for why you cannot change, why you cannot be delivered out of terrible circumstances and why you cannot receive forgiveness, deliverance, and wholeness in your life.

Today, we look at another hard teaching from the Lord taught. What is the Unpardonable Sin all about? Is there actually something that we can do that negates the grace and forgiveness of God? Let's visit this topic and weigh it by what we know about God's wonderful grace and forgiveness and our text found in Mark chapter 3 and verse 22.

Jesus said, "No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.” (Luke 9:62, NIV)  Today, we look at Hard Sayings of Jesus, these are verses that seem to be misconstrued or wrongly interpreted, or do not mean what they seem to be. What does Jesus mean? Is this about Obedience? Is this about a false start or something else? We will answer these questions and much more.

Today, we examine John 14:1-3, where we now face the subject of the Lord's coming. We examine the early church Father's and what they taught, to see if there is any credence to the idea that the Rapture of the Church is a recent teaching coming out of the United States in 1833 as some believe. This message was preached in October 17th 2021. 

Today, we talk about the rush to publicize the UFO, or as they have been renamed UAP scenarios. Depending on your World-View, you will see this as either an evil incursion or proof that the notion of God is over. As Christ followers we are people of the Book. Is there anywhere in the Bible that speaks of beings from another realm appearing in any form they wish and interacting with humans? This is what we will study this morning, along with looking at the great deception that will deceive many in the last days.  

Today, we witness God begin a fight with Jacob. A fight that many of us may have had with God, while we are alone, vulnerable, and in the midst of pain. God was going to wrestle Jacob into transformation instead of comforting him into transformation. God uses the hard times, the trouble times to work us into the next faith level. How does God deal with His faithful servants? It maybe more different than you think. 

Does God sometimes test you on the same field where you have been tested before? Today, we see just how God helped Jacob face a family crisis and prove HIS ability to protect Jacob, only to put him quickly into a similar situation to test him. Jacob fails, however, he manages to take baby steps towards the goals that God had for him. Once again, God will prove Himself faithful to HIS servant. God does the same thing with us. He is constantly preparing our hearts for the next step or the next level in our faith walk.

As we continue in Jacob's life we now notice how the One True God, speaks to Jacob's Father-in-law and warns him about mistreating Jacob. Laban is upset about Jacob's unannounced departure and the theft of his household Gods. What could have been possibly a very bad moment in Jacob's life, God uses the moment to demonstrate to Jacob His faithfulness and protection. God can be trusted. He is always faithful in taking moments in our life that are meant for harm and using them for our good. Why? Because HE is the One True God.

Today, God gets Jacob's attention that it is time to move back to the region where his Father comes from. So, Jacob calls for a private family meeting in the fields where he is watching goats and sheep. He tells his wives that their father's attitude has changed toward him. How their father has changed his pay ten different times. Then Jacob confesses that God countered every move that Laban tried to cheat him. Which made Jacob richer, while their father became poorer. God would not allow Laban to cheat Jacob. God can protect His own and will bless those who follow God. So, why are we afraid? If God be for us, who can be against us.
