Clemson has a veteran, balanced offense with terrific players in quarterback Cade Klubnik and running back Phil Mafah.

Texas’s defense is loaded with play-makers like Anthony Hill, former Clemson safety Andrew Mukuba, Jahdae Barron, Barryn Sorrell, Trey Moore, Colin Simmons and others.

Texas has elite guys on offense, including two quarterbacks in Quinn Ewers and Arch Manning, a talented receiving corps paced by tight end Gunnar Helm and running back Tre Wisner.

But the Longhorns were inconsistent offensively thanks to turnovers and a running game that was hit-or-miss (and ran for just 1.1 yards per carry in the loss to Georgia).
