In class this year we are going to focus on better seeing the three virtues named by Paul in his letter to the Corinthians. He informs them that faith, hope, and love are important traits for us to cultivate in our lives (1 Cor 13:11-13). Therefore, this year we are going to wrestle with the following questions: What does the Christmas story teach us about faith, hope and love? What do we learn from the men and women in these stories about what it means to cultivate faith, hope, and love? Where in these stories do we see these virtues being lived out?

This fall we are journeying through a congregational study focusing on some of the "one another" passages in the New Testament. This instruction to the earliest Christians about how they treat one another occurs around 58 times. That frequency shows just how important it was to the vision of the early church. The same holds true today as we seek to be faithful as a community of faith. How we treat one another is a critical way to show who we are in Christ Jesus.
