The book of Genesis is a place where we find beauty in word as God forms spaces and fills them with His essence. Speaking this Sabbath is Simon Liversidge, our Lead Pastor, presenting "Re-Creation & Recreation." God's Spirit is always at work in His children. Through the Flood, God decided to destroy humanity in order to re-create it. In the Flood story, we see for what God created humanity. God made us for intimacy, not just sexuality. God made us for spirituality, not just religiosity. God made us for procreation, not just recreation. And God made us for mercy, not just justice. God longs to re-create us in His image through the call of His Spirit.

Speaking this Sabbath is Simon Liversidge, Lead Pastor at College View Church. As we continue our series on "Fresh Fire," we find God's Spirit prompting humankind. The Spirit warns Cain about his impending sin; he refuses to listen. Yet, God does not leave him, and instead blesses him! In the same way, as the world falls into wickedness, God does not simply leave humanity; He contends with us and seeks a righteous man to bring hope and re-create our world. God invites us to go all in for Him.

PREMIERING THIS SABBATH - a new sermon series, "Fresh Fire," by Simon Liversidge, Lead Pastor! We will start the series with "People Who Call on the Name of the Lord." Together we'll explore the power of the Holy Spirit and learn to experience MORE of His power and grace. As God creates the world, His Spirit is present and active. When Adam and Eve sin, God calls them back to Him through His Spirit. As people learn to call on God, they experience His righteousness and mercy. We will spend time on this topic until next spring and would love for you to join us!

Speaking this week is Simon Liversidge, our Lead Pastor, presenting "How to Have Risky Hope." In Acts 5, the religious leaders imprison the apostles but an angel miraculously frees them. Now, the religious leaders and apostles have a choice to make. The religious leaders don't know what to do and just hope for the best, but the apostles have faith in God and His word, choosing to obey God rather than man. They choose risky hope.

Speaking this week is Simon Liversidge, our Lead Pastor, presenting "The Truth About Lies." In Acts 5, Ananias & Sapphira lie to God because they misunderstand three things about God. They do not understand 1) the nature of God (He knows all); 2) the character of God (He is good); and 3) the grace of God (He is Love). But God wants us to know Him. So He reveals His character, goodness, and grace constantly. When we understand who God is, we are under His blessing and see His power in our lives.

Speaking this week is Simon Liversidge, our Lead Pastor, reminding us "How to be an Encourager." In Acts 4, the early church lives as a beautiful comunity sharing life & possessions. One of the leaders is Barnabas. He encourages the church in three powerful ways: 1. To have a heart for the NEEDY (a spirit of generosity). 2. To have a heart for the YOUNG (a spirit of growth). 3. To have a heart for our FAMILY (a spirit of grace).

Speaking this week is Daniel Silva, our Admin Pastor, presenting "The Miracle of Awakening in Christ." In the chaos of our lives, God is often performing miracles, but we are so busy and distracted that we don't see God's wonderful work. God often makes us go through trials so that we can delight in the miracle of the awakening a deep relationship with Jesus.
