Hey friends! On March 8th we had our Thrive Young Adult Director Darren Hudson with us and he taught us a powerful message entitled “What Does God Call You?”. We opened up the book of Numbers and Joshua and the amazing story of Caleb and how God was faithful to Caleb and how in turn Caleb was faithful to his God. We hope you enjoy the message!

On March 1st we jumped back into our MIRACLES from the Gospel of Mark series and we looked at the amazing story of Jesus and Blind Bartimaeus in Mark 10: 35-52. Our bottom line was: Until you see yourself correctly you will not see Jesus rightly; Until you see Jesus rightly you will not follow him wholeheartedly; See your SIN, see your SAVIOR, cry out for MERCY, Follow JESUS!

In Week 4 of our Defining The Relationship Series we hosted an interactive & informative Panel Discussion with two young married couples from OBC. We hope you enjoy this honest & open conversation about dating & relationships and how the Gospel must be the lens by which we always view love.

In Week 3 of our Defining The Relationship series our BIG IDEA was “Stop comparing your story to those in movies, on television or social media. Let God write your love story. Hand Him the pen.” Seek dating & relationship wisdom from God..invite Him in..He loves you!

In Week 2 we learned how God has made us for relationships, but relationships can get messy. Big Idea: Unless I'm wholeheartedly pursuing a relationship with Christ, all other relationships will be a hopeless attempt to fill that void. 

In Week 1 of our new series “Defining The Relationship: A Series on Love & Dating” we looked at the AGAPE Love of God and that when it comes to relationships we need to stop looking  for “the one” and start becoming “the one”.

The feeding of the five thousand was a domino effect triggered by the donation of a young boy. The miracle of multiplication started with participation. Jesus could have easily made it rain chicken nuggets and honey mustard, but He didn’t do that. Instead, He invited a young kid and twelve followers to play a part in His miracle. God doesn’t just want you to witness His purpose; He invites you to take part in it. God doesn’t just want you to see miracles; He wants you to participate in them.

Mark teaches that Jesus has the power to calm spine-chilling storms—even ones happening within your own life. We all experience metaphorical storms—loneliness, loss, and letdowns. This story shows that Jesus is right there through your storm, listening and ready to act. Within your storm, move closer to Jesus, and He will keep you safe.

Jesus performs an incredible miracle in Mark 2. He heals a paralyzed man, both spiritually and physically. He forgives his sins and gives him the ability to walk! The paraplegic experienced two life-changing miracles because his friends had enough faith to carry him to Jesus. When you step out in faith, amazing things unfold. When Jesus saw the faith of these men, a miracle happened. Faith is a catalyst for the miraculous. It can lead to healing. It can lead to breakthroughs. Faith can lead to unthinkable things. Are you missing out on something because you refuse to move in faith?

In Week 3 we will look at the Ten Commandments and how God has given us a standard for living so that we can maintain fellowship with him.
