DCU Canon isn't that complicated. What is still canon from the old DCEU in the new DCU that James Gunn is heading? I'll explain how Peacemaker, Blue Beetle, Harley Quinn, and others are still canon in the DCU. While the DCEU Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, etc. are NOT.

Hey Colton! I’m still unclear on what’s canon to James Gunn’s DC universe. I thought just Superman, Creature Commandos, and the new season of Peacemaker were canon. But Peacemaker season 2 is referencing a lot of stuff from The Suicide Squad. Is that movie canon now too? And if it's canon doesn’t that means other DCEU movies would be canon too.

The new James Gunn DCU does NOT need Batman. Superman and the amazing cast of characters we've already met, and the more to come, can carry this franchise on their own without needing to lean on the Bat. This will allow for the DCU to establish itself and its characters, especially B, C, and even D list characters, without living in the shadow of Batman. AND this will allow for Matt Reeves and Robert Pattinson's Batman to have the stage to themselves for Batman movies. And once that trilogy is complete, THEN you bring in the DCU Batman, similar to how the MCU didn't bring in Spider-Man until Phase 3 (not by choice) and this forced them to make the MCU work without their golden goose.

Deadpool himself, Ryan Reynolds, has seemingly confirmed that he will be joining the Avengers, the X-Men, and the Fantastic Four in their fight against Doctor Doom in Avengers Doomsday, or did he? In this social media post we saw what I believe could be a crew shirt for a secret movie between Doomsday and Secret Wars, a sequel to Deadpool & Wolverine. Doctor Doom has arrived in Fantastic Four: First Steps' mid credit scene, and came face to face with Franklin Richards. Doom is assumed to be there for his own multiversal conquering plans in Avengers Doomsday and Avengers Secret Wars. But what if Galactus is who sent him as his new herald, replacing the Silver Surfer.

Doom was missing during the movie, and I think he may have been off planet following a defeat from the Fantastic Four just like in the comics.

Doctor Doom is in the Fantastic Four Post Credit Scene, and I think I know why. This scene was directed by the Russo Brothers, just like the post credit scene form Thunderbolts, and it was shot on set of Avengers Doomsday. Doom is there for Franklin, but that's not all. Doom may be there recruiting Reed and the entire team for an incursion THEY caused by defeating Galactus and refusing to give up their son. And this also ties in to the eventual post credit scene we'll be getting in Spider-Man Brand New Day.

Kevin Feige did an interview recently confirming that Robert Downey Junior's Doctor Doom has been in the works for a long time, before even the release of Quatumania and the legal trouble of Kang actor, Jonathan Majors. And I think it's clear that, with Downey almost being cast as Doom 20 years ago, lots of teases in Avengers Endgame, PLUS this new interview, Doctor Doom was always going to be in Avengers Secret Wars and played by RDJ. the only "pivot" was from Kang Dynasty to Avengers Doomsday.
