Columbus Day Special: Vikings in America 2.0

Listen Later

On this Columbus Day we figured it would be a good idea to remind people that Columbus certainly didn't discover 'America'. Nor did he even make it to main land North America. However there was a group of Europeans who did! and they did it almost 500 years before Columbus set sail from Spain. These Europeans were the Greenlandic Vikings and according to their sagas of old, They may have made it as far south as Massachusetts and as far west as Minnesota

In this episode Nick goes over several Viking artifact discovered over the last couple hundred years, some of which are very convincing!
