Good morning, Columbus! Bundle up and get ready for a winter weather rollercoaster this weekend!
Overnight, we're looking at a chilly scene with temperatures dropping to around 27 degrees. Expect a chance of snow before 5 am, transitioning to snow and freezing rain. Winds will be gentle from the southeast at around 5 miles per hour. We might see a light dusting of less than half an inch of snow.
Saturday brings a messy mix of precipitation. We'll start with rain and freezing rain, possibly mixed with snow, but it'll transition to all rain after 9 am. Temperatures will climb to near 40 degrees with south winds between 7 to 10 miles per hour. No significant ice or snow accumulation is expected.
Saturday night gets wet, with rain likely after 7 pm. Temperatures will hover around 36 degrees with east winds between 5 to 7 miles per hour. We could see between 1 to 2 inches of precipitation.
Sunday is another wild ride. Expect rain and snow before 2 pm, with a chance of snow after 4 pm. Temperatures will reach near 38 degrees, with west winds between 10 to 18 miles per hour and gusts up to 37 miles per hour. We might see a light coating of snow.
The week ahead looks cold and mostly cloudy, with temperatures struggling to climb above the mid-20s. Washington's Birthday will be particularly chilly, with highs near 23 degrees.
