Good morning, Columbus! This is your weather update for Washington's Birthday, bringing you the chilly details straight from the National Weather Service in Wilmington, Ohio.
Brace yourselves for a frosty day ahead! Overnight, we've got scattered snow showers with temperatures dipping down to a brisk 15 degrees Fahrenheit. Expect west winds around 13 miles per hour, with gusts up to 24 miles per hour. We might see a light dusting of less than half an inch of snow.
As we celebrate Washington's Birthday, things will start off cold but brighten up. Expect a chance of flurries before 8 am, then transitioning to mostly sunny skies with a high near 22 degrees Fahrenheit. Those west winds will continue to blow around 11 miles per hour.
Looking ahead, Monday night will be partly cloudy with temperatures dropping to a bone-chilling 9 degrees Fahrenheit. Tuesday brings partly sunny skies but wind chill values could plummet to zero. Brrr!
We've got a few more snow chances midweek. Tuesday night and Wednesday morning might see some light snow, with minimal accumulation. Temperatures will hover around the low 20s.
