Combe TV – Episode 22 – SPECIAL “START YOUR ENGINES” Episode!
Thursday, 25 June, 7pm Hosted by commentator Chris Dawes.
Following months of lockdown, and no racing since the end of the 2019 season, we are on the verge of the 2020 Castle Combe Racing Club race season at Castle Combe Circuit commencing on Saturday 4th July!
Join Chris as he hosts a show which will give you all the details you need to know of how the day will be run, what you can expect, and what will be expected of everyone attending the circuit on the day.
The show will feature information for drivers and officials from the people who have been working flat out in the background to make this race day happen! Ken Davies (CCRC Chairman), Dr Sue Smith (Chief Medical Officer), Steve Weston (Competitions Director), and Richard Beard (Marshals Secretary & Chief Marshal) will all be live on the show to provide their respective information, along with a video from Rod Bennett about scrutineering.
Once everyone has provided their information we will be able to take some questions from the viewers, so make sure you are watching, and if your questions have not been answered already, then please do ask away at the end. (Please note that if your questions are asked whilst we still work through the main part of the show, they may be missed when we get to the Q&A section).
We will be covering:
- Circuit Matters (incl. arrival, paddock access, car parking, food/drink overnight stays, programmes, etc.)
- Medical (incl. Covid-19, medical centre procedures incl. concussion protocols, Medcar, drivers’ PPE)
- Marshals (incl. car parking, sign-on, welfare, race morning, briefing time & place, on post, etc.)
- Race Administration (incl. sign-on, location, license check, club membership, limited tickets, change of details, out of session practice procedure, spectating restrictions, media, etc.)
- Scrutineering
- On-track activities (incl. paddock, grid, pits & assembly areas, safety car, rescue, race stoppages, driving standards, judicial – how & where disputes will be resolved, etc.
Sadly, the same as all other sporting events, there can be no spectators. But we will be providing the information about audio commentary on TSL, and audio/visual coverage on the Circuit’s Facebook and YouTube channels!!
