When we think about bouncing back from setbacks, disappointments and failures it can be easy to assume that it only means getting straight back into the action. However, this tactic often proves ineffective in the long-term if we don't take the necessary time to recover well. Even athletes incorporate recovery into their training plan in order to reap the full benefits of their training sessions. In this episode, I speak about the importance of taking any amount of time to recover after failures or setbacks and key things to consider in order to make it a reality.

Kike Oniwinde, multi-talented Founder & CEO of the BYP Network with over 40,000 members spoke to me about her journey in training to represent GB at the Olympics. She experienced multiple injuries in the process and everything seemed to be going wrong but the experience only turned out to be preparation for something bigger to come. 

BYP Network is a platform that connects black professionals with each other and corporations. The BYP Network recently raised over £850,000 ($1.1m) in an equity crowdfund through Seedrs, and has featured in major publications such as, Forbes, BBC, Business Insider and Roc Nation.
