  • GLUTTONY
    I was quite horrified to read that the human is responsible for the slaughter of three billion aninmals each day i wrote the poem in a pompous manner after listening to a hunter talking about his blood sports, he truly belived it tobe his righteous privalage to kill similar to royalty and the religious who once regularly pleasured their pallets with the flesh of endangered animals with some still doing so today after buying a licence from secret African auction houses in many poorer countries gluttony and obesity are seen as wealthy status symbols .

    Today the cardinal sin that we call greed was ultimately born out of the necessity for us to gorge and feed whilst trying to out run a savage predatory rival in what was the flight or fight of our stone age survival, greed also ment that we could sire and seed across a much stronger lineage to the next burgeoning member of our breed; later religion took over the lead and ordained that its newly found christian creed should be brought to heel and made to heed in order that it's gluttonous heathen soul be freed through abstinence and fasting allowing at last for its salvation to succeed .

  • CUCKOO
    Medieval doctors use to dress up as huge birds with long  beak's  believing that the soul was delivered and despatched by the avian transmigration i.e Stalk''s,  babies, Raven's = devils,  Cookoo's madness etc. Loosing a family member to cancer that small egg shaped lump seems to hatch into something of vulturous bird flesh eating bird .

    A musing about an artist girlfriend that I lived with in Barcelona Spain at the time I couldn't understand what she ment when she use to say that she was a spiritual suffragette sacrificing love and life for her art I did use to think her a pompous pretentious spoilt brat now after twelve months of lockdown living as a mendicant monk in my own solitary confinement cell I'm beginning to understand her state of mind .
