IPM is South Africa’s oldest and most progressive Human Resources Professional Association. Its Annual Convention is the Human Resources Industry/Sector flagship event, and most prominently attended in the African continent. It is the annual convergence of the who is who in Human Resources Industry to learn from the best of the local and international subject matter experts. We will be bringing you live and recorded episodes from this Convention, including the IPM EXCELLLENCE AWARDS & GALA DINNER on Tuesday, the 22nd October 2019. Preparing the youth to lead societies of the world into the future is not negotiable. The 4th Industrial Revolution is dislodging leaders who are refusing to led go and handover to these rightful owners of our destiny, our youth. Identification of the next layer of leadership, succession and transition management is the responsibility of the incumbent leaders to effect. Failure to do so is an indictment of this current leadership. The society will see through such failure and will not pardon you for this ignorant and careless conduct. Even your children will hate you for it, and will not forgive you in your grave. So, let us do the right thing, prepare our youth, and freely handover the ropes to them while there is still time. Then our role, for as long as we are still alive, is to mentor and share our wisdom with them. In that way we will live longer and be appreciated as the wisemen and women of the society. Otherwise they will despise us.

The Episode No 36 titled Podcasting in the Context of The 4th Industrial Revolution, seeks to position Podcasting as one of the key social media platforms emerging. It has a young history but it is growing very fast. The podcasters do not have problems of legacy technologies like the broadcasters. They are early adopters of The 4th Industrial Revolution technologies.

In this episode we are focusing on the role that the Alumni play in supporting the good course of their former institution. We also seek to define the Alumni. It is advisable that the Alumni is organised and coordinate their activities with the institution. In doing that they should consult with the institution. We encourage the Alumni to remain independent and not interfere in the affairs of their former institutions negatively.
