In 1 Peter 1:24-25 the Bible reminds believers that our hope is not necessarily in the things of this life. The Bible promises suffering of various kinds and the world will reject the followers of Jesus Christ.

Our hope is in the eternal nature of God’s unconditional promises. It is our remembrance of eternal things that will enable to people of God to endure the difficulties of this life with joy and satisfaction.

So, in today’s study, we’ll take a look at how the emphasis of God’s promises are eternal, which was communicated in both the Old AND the New Testaments.
