The epistle of 2nd Corinthians begins with a man who is wearing his heart on his sleeve. He’s been through too much and he has nothing to hide. The sorrows of life have become so excessive, he has nowhere else to turn but to God. Some claimed that his sufferings, coupled with his mangled speech and unimpressive appearance, proved he wasn’t even an apostle. Paul turns it around and shows that these are the very characteristics that make him fit for the ministry. He would allow nothing to get in the way of him serving and glorifying his King.
