Episode 3 - A Letter, To .. Me/Myself .. (Birthday Boy)
Happy Birthday !!!!
Not gon lie fam … This one was difficult to record. Even more to read and write. In this episode, we get into an extremely vulnerable and sensitively-intrinsic segment. A Review of Father’s Day 2023, and Our Host’s Birthday. Both of which turned out to be heavily unhinging, uncomfortable, revealing, and so much more. Pain is evident, and growth was the choice made, as always. Therapy is in the process, if you allow it and seek it out. God cannot heal what you don't make a choice to reveal.
It was THIS letter that truly ignited the flame for “Comfy At The Crib”. I pray my pains, struggles, and CRUSHING can serve as MEDICINE/HEALING/GROWTH and learning lessons for my viewers & listeners, just as God has allowed it/my walk to be for me (turning pain into a platform).
PS - Thug tears are safe here.. Even the ones that only show internally, and not streaming down our cheeks. God understands nonetheless. S/o to anyone who refuses to let their last “mistake” define them. To my Fellas, Black Men, Father’s of all titles … You are not alone. You are worthy. You are NOT your last mess up. You are irreplaceable. You are adored. You are blessed. You are appreciated. You are desired. And our Women, our children, our communities NEED US. - God Bless
