Dad and Logan discuss a book in this version of Reading with my kids, where they discuss an actual prose novel.  Not just any Novel but a classic by Jack London, Call of the Wild.   Logan gives us the summary of the story and a breakdown for the main character Buck.  We all get a comparison of this novel with the film Call of the Wild from 2020 staring Harrison Ford.    Logan gives his favorite parts of the story as well as what character he most relates to in the book.  Dad gives his opinion on the Movie and the Novel.

For our first episode for 2024, Dad and the kids take a look back at all the books they have read for 2023.  They give the listener their favorite books for 2023 and why.   Dad gives his reasons why Jurassic Jeff was the best thing in 2023 and Melody and Logan both give their opinions on the book. 




Logan gives us a breakdown on his favorite book and series as well as who he liked best in the book.  Plus Melody tells us all how cool cryptid creatures are. Not to mention they look back at some of the best things on the podcast.

Forecast From Stonehenge

For our last episode for 2023, we have an Advanced Review for a book due out in April of 2024.  Its a graphic novel for the Choose Your Own Adventure series of books.   Melody and Matt sit down to discuss how much fun a Choose Your Own Adventure can be and how great it is to have a graphic novel that follows that really fun layout.   Melody gives us the lead in for the plot; then Dad and Daughter discuss the first two choices the reader is given.  




Matt and Melody also discuss what they enjoy about the art and how it helps and enhances the story.  So grab your favorite armchair, and listen to this Advanced Review for  "Forecast from Stonehenge"

Today Dad,Melody and Logan get a special guest to discuss a new comic mini-series from Keenspot called Squish and Squash.  The author  Niall O'rourke comes into our recording studio to talk all things with space.  Logan and Melody ask the hard hitting questions about Squish and Squash.  

Niall gives us a breakdown on the story, and a little bit about where the characters came from as well as what is the best snack food in the galaxy. Niall also tells us how he got involved with Keenspot Publishing.  
 We also learn a little more about the forthcoming second issue due on shelves in January.
