Reads Like a Modern Twilight Zone Episode!

Blends a Twilight Zone atmosphere of aliens trying to influence mankind with an emerging love story between the two main characters Captain Michael Rogers and Captain Maximillian Blair. As usual, the government officials have ulterior motives to get Rogers to open up about what happened while he was on an alien world for nearly 40 years. The motives, to Dr. Blair's delight keep the two men together and growing closer with each passing day. Unfortunately, powers that be push too hard and the men are thrust into saving Rogers' true mission on Earth. Great story!Coming Home Again

Good story, heavy on the romance

This is a is a sweet little romantic story set within an alien abduction-type scenario. I am not generally a category romance reader but I was engaged enough with characters and events to get through in two sittings. Over all, I enjoyed it.

Why can't I give it more than 5 stars?

I'd give it 6 stars if I could, but this was a great little science fiction romp, with a twist. It had aliens, weirdness, the unknown and everything you'd want from this genre. Definitely has the makings of a longer story or universe.

Max has always hoped that heâd find some sign of life on other planets but he certainly never expected to go into work and find that, not only does that alien life emphatically exist, heâs going to be getting up close and personal with it. Giving their unexpected visitor a checkup is perfectly fine, he is a doctor after all, but when his job is threatened unless he can âprocureâ additional information, at any cost, Max balks before reluctantly giving in. Determined to do what heâs been ordered to do without compromising his morals is easier said than done, however, and the situation is further complicated when he finds himself attracted to his patientâand learns the attraction is mutual. When military meddling inadvertently sets in motion events that could lead to the start of an intergalactic war, Max will have to choose for himself whatâs more important; his life as he knows it or the man thatâs quickly stealing his heart.

While not overly detailed, I liked this story quite a bit. The âalienâ aspect of the story was much different than I had anticipated, and I was happy to be surprised by that. The author also chose to go with an âold styleâ flying saucer for the space ship but still managed to make it unique from what Iâd been expecting, which was nice. Things do move quickly in this story, necessitated by the length, but I didnât feel as though the story was overly rushed and was overall quite satisfied.
