Jon, Chance, and Chris continue the discussion surrounding our 30 Day Challenge to read through the New Testament. If you are reading with us you are finishing up Mark and about to read Luke. In our last episode we discussed the value in having multiple accounts of these stories, but we address why we can't simply combine these stories into one coherent message. The reading to begin this week is as follows:
December 8: Luke 6-13
December 9: Luke 14-21
December 10: Luke 22-24; John 1-5
December 11: John 6-13
In this episode we recommend some resources we look to when we study. Jon recommended New Testament Survey by Don Shackelford, Chance recommended a commentary on Luke by Bob Winton (link is a free pdf). Chris mentions BlueLetterBible.com, an online resource for devotionals, word studies, and other Bible tools.
