We sure love those folks from MTG Lexicon, so much so that the epic conversations continue this time with Brandon, producer, control player, paragon of creative spicy brews and absolute media fiend! Brandon joins us to discuss his creative process to brew unique lists, what community means in 2020 and how that's been at the heart of the MTG Lexicon ethos, and some of the background of how the MTG Lexicon meta has developed and influenced building in a positive way for the best possible fun interactive games. Brandon also comes to the table for one of best fun guest profile sessions we've had including chats on Eve Online, Macguyver, Alice Cooper, anime and a wave of other goodness. Enjoy!

Welcome back coffee wizards! This week we're joined at the breakfast table by our good friend Dave Kosin, CoolStuff Inc writer, EDH voice and Personal Trainer to the MTG community. We sit down to chat about why we play EDH for enjoyment, how Commander is going in 2020, including some Commander Legends chatter, plus some good discussions around the difference between card issues and people issues, product release fatigue, and the volatility of the hype cycle in the magic community. We also run through the importance of playing the cards you enjoy in commander, and what we bring to the table besides the cards in terms of attitude and enjoyment. Davie gives some great answers to our usually guest profiling too, with mentions of Stevie Nicks, Jim Henson and Chesh engaging in a Star trek debate that could be a whole 4 hour feature. It's a wild one friends, enjoy!

It's beginning to look a lot like (Commander) Christmas! We can't wipe the grins off our faces this week as we both got our first experiences opening and playing Commander Legends at prerelease weekend. Chesh runs through some stories and experiences from playing the primary intended way to play limited; draft, whilst same heads up some observations from playing the format sealed. All in all we're finding this could be one for the ages, and we've never seen anything quite like it. All that plus Chesh runs through the blueprint of his new Liesa, Shroud of Dusk deck build, with some tastefully appropriate 'friendly tax' themes. Enjoy!

They are Commander Legends, and we're talking Commander Legends! We're joined this week by the magnificant Andy and Coyle, paragons of positive commander, from the Guardian Project Podcast. Stick around for a free-for-all roundtable on all of the amazing spice we've seen in the first wave of Commander Legends previews, including the good, the janky, and of course, the controversial, it's gonna get wild! All that plus some solid Star Wars chat, Pumpkin spiced lattés, and the uncomfortable word 'cream pad' (Thanks Chesh.)... Enjoy!

Greetings Cereal Cephalids! We've got a nice dainty episode between community guests this week, where Chesh and Sam run through some of their thoughts, experiences and considerations for deckbuilding with webcam/SpellTable play in mind. We run through some card types that may best not to include, as well as some that may work better than expected - and as a general rule, communication is key, and a healthy integral part of commander play. Rounding out this concept is a look a nice new thematic Haldan and Pako brew deck tech from Chesh. Enjoy!

Chesh's first take on the Haldan & Pako brew can be found at:

We're joined at the breakfast table today by the great Brandon Crane aka Booster Tutor - limited enthusiast, creator of great unboxing videos, commander player, and most importantly known for his content scouring online listings and flea markets for hidden gems of forgotten magic card collections. We venture through some epic tales of magic card discovery in the wild, Brandon's origins of magic, thoughts on the state of the game in 2020 and of course our usual barrage of nonsense questions we love to put our guests on the spot to try and answer – because it yields such great conversations about unexpected things like Dune, David Bowie and why you should play Mana Tithe. Enjoy!
